Today I wanted to share what I picked up during the Sephora VIB sale. Even though their November VIB sale is always Sephora’s best sale of the year, I didn’t go crazy with my purchases. I was good and pretty much stuck to my wish list! The majority were items in my collection that needed to be replaced, and only two were “want” items.
I bought most of the items online so that I could take advantage of Ebates, but before I made any purchases, I visited a physical store to do some browsing and see what else I wanted to buy. I’m not much of an online shopper, and am definitely someone who needs to swatch things in store before making a decision. The last time I purchased online during the VIB sale, I remember it taking forever. This time, I ordered on November 11th and received my items by November 17th – very fast!
Anastasia Beverly Hills Master Palette by Mario Palette
At the store, I saw that the Anastasia Master Palette by Mario palette was in stock. Since I had checked online before visiting the store and knew that this palette was sold out online, I took its availability in stores as a sign that I should buy it. Although the shades are pretty dupeable, they are right up my alley and I’m really excited I got my hands on this!
Kat Von D Tattoo Liner in Trooper
This is a replacement item. I noticed in my last eye look that my liquid liner was skipping a little, which means that it’s starting to dry out. The 20% discount was the perfect chance to pick up a new one of these.
Jack Black Lip Balm with SPF 25
This is another replacement item – I must be on my 12th tube of these. I needed a new one for my office and one for my bedside table, so I bought one in Grapefruit and one in Black Tea, my two favourite flavours.
NARS Audacious Lipstick in Audrey
I had initially wanted one of the neutral shades in the Audacious line since I’m likely to wear those more often, but I tried these on in stores a while back and didn’t find any of them to be perfectly flattering on me. Audrey stood out to me, since I don’t own a darker red like this. This looks a lot…brighter than I remember it looking in stores, but I haven’t swatched it yet, so we’ll see!
I did see the Sephora’s Most Coveted set in stores, but nothing in the set looked substantial enough for me to want to buy it. I also had a few brushes on my wish list, but seeing them again in stores, I felt that I could find something better elsewhere. Good thing too, otherwise I would’ve gone WAY over my low-buy budget!
