Sephora VIB Sale Wish List

It’s the time of the year we’ve been all waiting for! No, not Christmas – the Sephora VIB Sale! This year, the 20% off sale for VIB Rouge members starts on November 3-6, then again on November 10-15 – that’s two weekends of shopping! For VIBs and BIs, the sale is on November 10-15; VIBs receive 20% off, and BIs receive 15% off.

I’m not a Rouge member so I’m not doing my shopping this weekend, but I still thought I would share my wish list for those who DO get to partake in the sale this weekend – maybe we can get ideas off of each other’s lists! I will definitely not be buying everything on the list – it goes from most likely to purchase to least likely to purchase.

Laneige Hydration Trial Kit

I am 100% getting this item! I’ve heard so much about Laneige products, and anything with the name “Water” in it sounds like it would be perfect for my skin. This kit of sample sized products sounds like the perfect way to dip my toes into the line without committing to a large size.

Sol de Janeiro Brazilian Bum Bum Cream

I just ran out of my Kiehl’s Crème de Corps body butter, and man, I wish I had never started using it. It’s SO good but SO expensive, and now I’m addicted to it. While I would 100% repurchase the Crème de Corps, I’m interested in trying something new, and I’ve just heard so many people raving about this product. Its price is up there with the Kiehl’s body butter, so I might as well take advantage of the sale to buy this at a discount.

Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer

This is a restock of my concealer as the one I’m currently using is on its last leg. Actually, besides this one, I would love to try a new concealer – anyone have any recommendations?

Tatcha Bestsellers Set

I’ve wanted to try Tatcha for a really long time, and like the Laneige set, I think this would be a great way to try the best products from the brand without paying full price for all of the items.

Bareminerals Gen Nude Radiant Lipstick

I hadn’t heard much about this lipstick until Pretty Ruff Life raved about it. She said the formula was super hydrating and creamy – my favourite! The only thing is that I already own way too many lipsticks, and I kind of want to employ a one-out-one-in policy with my lipsticks, so I’m unsure if I should get this.

Marc Jacobs Dew Drops Coconut Gel Highlighter

This highlighter sold out FAST when it first came out, and for good reason. It gives the most beautiful glow and can be worn on top or under foundation. However, Stashy challenged me to not buy any highlighters for the rest of the year, so this is staying out of my basket! It’s for the best anyways – I really don’t need another highlighter.

Violet Voss Taupe Notch Pro Eyeshadow Palette

I didn’t realize this existed until I was randomly browsing the Sephora website one day, and now I regret seeing it because I want it but can’t justify buying yet another eyeshadow palette. But…a palette that consists of variations of taupe? All the yeses! PS – below you will see several eyeshadow palettes. I’ve been on a palette no-buy this year and I’ve been dying a little inside. I have them on my wish list because I really want them, yet at the same time I don’t want to break my goal for the year.

Too Faced Just Peachy Velvet Matte Eyeshadow Palette

I’ve been wanting this palette ever since it came out in August. I think it fills a  However, I can’t decide if I would actually love this palette long-term, or just be excited about it for the first month after purchase before putting it aside.

Too Faced Sweet Peach Eyeshadow Palette

The hype around this palette is long over, but I still want it. I love the variety of shades in this palette, and I know it would be well-loved in my collection.

Tarte Tartelette in Bloom Clay Eyeshadow Palette

I’ve been eyeing this for a really, really long time. I love the original Tartelette palette, and I think I would really get a ton of use out of this palette. The only thing stopping me is that this palette is a bit “boring”.

Hourglass Ambient Lighting Edit Volume 3

I don’t think anyone can deny that this palette is beautiful. Lately I’ve been using my Ambient Lighting Palette a lot, and I’ve been loving them, so I feel like I would appreciate this palette. However, there’s almost no chance that I’m going to buy this during the VIB sale because it’s so expensive and because I feel like I should finish the Ambient Lighting Palette before buying an Edit palette, but I’m still including it because this is my wish list and I want this palette! Even though these palettes are limited edition, they always release a new version every Christmas, so I feel like I’m not missing out on much.

That’s about it! I’m going to be doing some more browsing in the next week, and I know I’ll likely have a few more products to add to this list. What are you going to buy during the sale?

  1. I’m only a beauty insider but I’m hoping to pick up a few things for the sale. The violet voss palettes are so pretty, I always get overwhelmed with large eye palettes though. I put the peachy mattes palette on my wish list for Christmas!

    • Ooh, nice thinking putting the TF palette on your Christmas wish list! You’re right, massive palettes do get a little overwhelming, and honestly I find myself reaching for the mid-sized (8-12 colour) palettes the most.

      • Haha we’ll see if I get it or not 😄
Yes 8-12 is perfect. I love the Too Faced chocolate bar palettes, they’re just the right size for me. I have their natural love palette and while it’s beautiful I stare at it for ten minutes every time trying to decide what to use 😂

  2. Yesss living for this, I’m really enjoying everyone’s wish lists haha. Honestly the bum bum cream was on mine but I’m just struggling to justify the price for a body cream :/ who knows, maybe I’ll end up going for it. Loved reading this xx

  3. Hope you get lots of good stuff. I am on a budget and will probably just get a few things. I also love the Nars Concealer. Actually, I really want to try the one in the pot. My current fave is the It Cosmetics one. 🙂

  4. The Laneige kit is a good way to try a bunch of products!

That bum bum cream smells sooooo good – I like smelling it when I’m at Sephora. 🙂

No recs on concealers – all mine are ok but not 100% great. Right now I’m actually mixing the LA Girl HD Pro Conceal with Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Eraser and I’m liking the results.

Have you heard my ranting on Tatcha? Check out this awesome post:
I refuse to buy into a BS brand! 😛

I’m banning myself on lipsticks for now until I can do a proper purge! I’ve set aside a whole whack that I don’t use – I say hold off on that BM until you either toss one or use one up. 🙂

LMAO, Highlighter Ban is ON! 😉

Wow, I’d not heard of that Violet Voss taupe palette – soooo right up my alley… 😮
You can achieve your palette no-buy, you can do it! Just 2 more months. Just think of how many palettes you already own! Have fun shopping! I cannot wait for Black Friday too… 😀

    • I’ve honestly never even smelled the Bum Bum cream before! 🙊 But if so many people say it smells nice, then it has to be yummy?

Okay, you’ve convinced me, no lipstick purchases until I finish one! I can’t remember the last time I finished a lipstick…

Umm, Tatcha…WTF. I haven’t actually looked into the company itself, I just hear rave reviews about the products. Pretending to be a Japanese company?? The whole geisha thing? Well, guess I’m no longer buying their products.

I can definitely make it 2 months without buying a palette – it’s more the idea of waiting until NEXT November to buy them if I want them at a discount that kills me! 😝 and yes, all the taupes!

      • I try to spread the truth of Tatcha as much as I can. You can get much better authentic Japanese brands than that and not as pricey. I only started looking into Tatcha when I was planning my Japanese trip and realized that it’s not even a Japanese brand! 😛

Well, there is always next Sephora Spring sale, but only 15% off but maybe getting one palette at that time can tide you over? 😉

        Liked by 1 person

        • Absolutely – to pay the exorbitant prices that Tatcha charges when they’re pretending to be something they’re not – no thanks.

Yes, I’ll have to get them in April for 15% off! It’s not 20%, but I can’t wait another 365 days lol!

  5. Great list! The Laneige products I’ve tried work really well for me but I have oily skin so I’m not sure how good they are for dry skin. The Bum Bum cream is amazing and I don’t think you’d regret buying it!!

I just remembered how badly I want the HG Violet Voss palette. It’s got shades of cranberry and I’ve always wanted it. It just came to Sephora!! I might have to add it to my list lol.

    • I looked at the Water line in stores and it looked pretty light, so I also wonder if it’ll be moisturizing enough for dry skin. Never hurts to try though, especially since they’re deluxe sample sizes! I think seeing you talking about the Bum Bum cream convinced me to buy it!

Yes, the HG Violet Voss palette is gorgeous! All of the Violet Voss palettes are beautiful, you just have to decide which one(s) you like best, lol.

  6. It is pretty light, which is why I like it because I didn’t have to worry about it breaking me out lol. But for dry skin, you may need more moisture. Or maybe it will work wonders for you! You are so right that you won’t know until you try and you might as well since it’s a good deal!

I agree all the Violet Voss palettes are beautiful! And I’m sorry about convincing you to buy the Bum Bum cream! XD The smell is addicting!!

  7. Uhh you have so many great picks on here ❤ I've been wanting that peach matte from Too Faced since it came out. I love all matte shades, and feel this palette but would be perfect for me 😀 Well basically I want everything that you've added on this list hahaha. I think if I made one, it would be endless.

    Liked by 1 person

    • Haha, you should definitely get it if you think you’ll get tons of use out of it! Wish lists are so much fun. Even if you can’t buy all of it, it’s nice to just look at all of the stuff you want, haha!

  8. I’m currently using a deluxe sample of the Laneige Water Bank Moisture Cream and it’s super moisturizing – I like it!

I think you’d love the BM lipstick but I hear you on having so many – I’m staying away from lip products this time around due to that exact reason.

Ugh I’ve been eyeing up that Tartlette in Bloom palette for ages too and yet I never seem to get it – I’m always looking at the next best thing. So many rave about it though.

Great list – enjoying shopping! 🙂

    • Great to know you’re loving the Water Bank cream! I hear nothing but love for the line.

Sigh, I guess the BM lipsticks are just gonna have to wait until I finish one from my stash.

Oh girl, I know EXACTLY what you mean! It’s like that palette is perpetually on the wish list, but then you get distracted by the next shiny palette that is released. Why can’t we just buy them all?!

  9. I giggle every time I see the bum bum cream because I was at Sephora a few months ago with my husband and he pointed it out in line and said, with a big grin on his face, “what do you think that’s for?” Lame joke but it made me laugh really hard, haha!

Great list! You know I totally support all the palette choices! I have one Violet Voss Palette and I absolutely love it. I was really tempted to grab one during this sale since Sephora is now stocking them, but alas, I did not. I only grabbed one palette this year (for the sale) and it was the ABH Prism Palette!

    Liked by 1 person

    • lol! Boys and their toilet humour. What made me laugh was that my husband knew how to pronounce it correctly when he saw it on my wish list, because I used to do these Brazilian Bum Bum workouts lol.

The Violet Voss palettes are gorgeous, and such a good price considering they are massive palettes. I love that Sephora is stocking brands that used to only be accessible online now. The colours in the ABH Prism Palette are too crazy for me, but it is a gorgeous palette – great pick!
