Hi everyone! Two weeks ago, I posted the results of the first Project Pan that I did from January to June. In today’s post, I’m sharing with you what’s in my second Project Pan of 2018. I’ve chosen 9 products to pan during the second part of 2018. Read on to see what I will try to finish these next six months!
1. Urban Decay Revolution Lipstick in Liar
Part of me is sad to be finishing up this lipstick because UD no longer makes the Revolution formula anymore, but this lipstick is getting old and I should start trying to use it up. I don’t know if my skin tone has gotten darker or if my taste in nude lipstick have changed, but I feel like this is just a smidge lighter than I prefer. I can always mix this with a darker neutral lip – kill two birds with one stone, right? There’s actually not a lot left in this lipstick and I will likely finish it by September, so I think I might try to pan another lipstick once this one is finished.
2. Tarte Amazonian Clay Blush in Paaarty
This little guy is also making a reappearance after being featured in my last Project Pan. To be honest, I am getting a little sick of it, but look how close I am to finishing it! I’m probably going to take a break from this for a bit for the rest of the summer, before continuing to push through and finish it.
3. Urban Decay Naked Palette
This was my very first high end palette, which I purchased right when it was first released. It is old as heck, and up until this year, I still hadn’t hit pan. I mentioned in one of the updates for my first Project Pan that Nicole of Pretty Ruff Life had hit pan on several shades in this palette last year, which inspired me to do the same. I already started seeing baby pan on Naked in April, but my goals for this palette are to:
- See baby pan on Virgin, Sin, and Buck
- Pan Naked
4. Oribe Grandiose Hair Plumping Mousse
I’ve already mentioned a few times that I don’t like this hair product. I dislike using products just for the sake of using them up, but this was freaking expensive, so you bet I am going to try finishing it off. On the plus side, it smells pretty darn amazing, so I do look forward to using it for the scent.
5. Batiste Dry Shampoo
I don’t like this dry shampoo – actually, I don’t think I’ve really liked any dry shampoos I’ve ever used, but that’s besides the point. I don’t think I have too much left of this dry shampoo, but I never reach for this. I think that putting it in my Project Pan will help encourage me to use this up.
6. Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Pencil Liner in Perversion/Demolition
Yep, this is making a reappearance, too. This dual liner was part of my first Project Pan, and I feel like I’ve gained a little momentum on this product in the last two months so I’m going to keep this in my second Project Pan and finish it off.
7. Becca Back Light Priming Filter
Okay, I think I might be a little crazy putting this into my Project Pan, because it looks like I’ve only finished half of the bottle in the last 12 months. However, I absolutely love this primer and I’m kind of worried this will start to go bad, so I want to get as much use out of it while I can.
8. Elizabeth Arden Green Tea Honeysuckle Body Spray
I bought this in at Orlando back in 2014 which means I’ve owned it for way too long. It’s time I used this baby up! There’s still over 3/4 left, but luckily body sprays don’t last very long on me so I can douse myself in it and still smell unoffensive. I should be able to finish this by the end of the year!
9. 12 Samples
You might think this is a cop-out, but hear me out. I have a drawer full of samples that I never touch, often because I don’t know how to fit them into my routine. For the last half of the year, I’m going to try to use up 12 samples, or 2 per month. It might seem small, but considering how few samples I used up in the first half of the year (a grand total of 5), I feel like this will actually be a challenge. The ones I’m most looking forward to trying are the Drunk Elephant Lala Retro Whipped Cream, the Drunk Elephant C-Tango eye cream, the Sunday Riley Good Genes, the Consonant Hydrexeme – these are all expensive products, so I’m excited to test out the samples before deciding if they’re worth the money!
Here is the weight of each product at the start of this Project Pan:
We’ll see where these end up by the end of the year! Are you trying to pan any products lately? Let me know in the comments!
