Beauty Products I Would Buy If It Came in Mini Size

Hi everyone! Today’s post is something that I saw from Nova of SuperNovaBeauty a while back, so all of the credit for this idea goes to her. There are so many products I’m interested in trying, but a lot of the time, either the price or the large size (or both) stops me from buying it. If the products I mention below came in a mini size at a lower price point, I would definitely snatch them up!

Drunk Elephant Products

There are SO MANY Drunk Elephant products I would like to try, but this is such an expensive brand! I know they have sets of minis available, but almost all of them include the Virgin Marula Oil, which is coincidentally the one product in their line I don’t want to try. I wish the minis all came separately so that I could pick and choose which items I wanted. I am specifically interested in the Lala Retro Whipped Cream ($75), the C-Firma Day Serum ($100), the Beste No. 9 Jelly Cleanser ($42), and the T.L.C Framboos Glycolic Night Serum ($164). The latter does have a smaller size (30 mL) but it’s still $112!

Herbivore Products

There are a few products from Herbivore that I would love to try out, and while they’re not quite as expensive as Drunk Elephant, their products are still on the pricier side. If they released some of their products in mini sizes, I would definitely try some of them out! In particular, I’m most interested in their Rose Hibiscus Coconut Water Hydrating Face Mist ($40), the Moon Fruit Superfruit Night Treatment ($70), the Orchid Youth-Preserving Facial Oil ($80) and the Prism Exfoliating Glow Potion ($80). I’ve never seen minis from Herbivore, so hopefully they’ll release a set of minis containing these products during the holidays!

Jo Malone Candles

Considering how much I love Jo Malone scents, I have always wanted to try their candles. They are ridiculously expensive, though! Their regular one-wick candle is $85, and their dinky travel-sized candle is still $45! If their regular candle was $45, then maybe I would think about trying (even then it’s kind of expensive for a candle. For now, I will just window-shop.

Hourglass Vanish Flash Highlighting Stick

If you’ve been following me for a while, you’ll know that I’m a sucker for highlighters. I’ve always thought that I’m not a fan of cream highlighters, but the Becca Poured Shimmering Skin Perfector formula and the ColourPop Super Shock Highlighters have proven me wrong. When these highlighters were released, I thought the swatches were absolutely stunning! The full size of this highlighting stick is $52, and knowing that I would never be able to finish a whole stick of this, I would be more than happy to buy a mini instead.

Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush

I own the Ambient Lighting Palette, and the powders included in that palette are absolutely gorgeous. I’ve swatched the blushes in stores on numerous occasions, but I can’t justify forking out $45 for a blush. Technically this doesn’t belong on the list because Hourglass has released 4 of the shades as minis. But the brand has released ten blushes in total, and I’m interested in a few of the shades that are only available in full size.

Marc Jacobs Dew Drops Coconut Gel Highlighter

I’ve been lusting after this ever since it came out, and I’ve actually been close to purchasing it once or twice, but always ended up putting it back. I do NOT need 24 mL of liquid highlighter because it’ll legitimately take my entire life to use up, and the $55 price point is more than I would like to pay for this product. If this came in half the size for about half the price, I wouldn’t think twice about buying it.

Marc Jacobs Highliner Gel Eye Crayon Eyeliner

I’ve wanted to try the Marc Jacobs highliners for YEARS but have yet to take the plunge. There are about half a dozen shades I would like to try, but I’m not spending $200 on eyeliners. I would love it if they came in minis, because then I could buy all of the shades I’m interested in for only a fraction of the price.

Stila Glitter & Glow Liquid Eye Shadow

Similar to the Marc Jacobs highliners, I wish these came in minis due to the ridiculously high price of the full sizes, not to mention they’re really big and would take forever to finish. They do carry sets of minis of these liquid shadows  – there’s currently one out right now – but I do wish each of the shades came separately as minis. I’ve found that most of the time, I only like one or two of the shades in a set; I’d rather be able to pick and choose which ones I wanted to buy!

Tarte Chrome Paint Shadow Pot

I own two of these Chrome paint pots, and they’re downright magical – so metallic and pigmented! They are quite large in weight and I honestly can’t see myself finishing these very quickly. At $27, I also find these to be very expensive – in a sense, you’re paying $27 for a single shadow! If they came in a smaller size, I would definitely be more inclined to try more shades in the range.

That’s it for my picks! What products would you be more willing to buy if it came in a mini size?

  1. I LOVE minis! Especially with all the traveling I do, they make it so easy to take my make-up and skincare item with me. It stinks though because many of the brans I use do NOT have mini items, ❤

  2. I got a sample of the Drunk Elephant vitamin c serum and it STINKS. I mean it actually smells awful. I tossed it because I’m not putting anything stinky on my face.
