Sephora Beauty Insider Sale Wish List

It is that time of the year again where the largely anticipated Sephora Sale rolls around. I thought I would be writing this blog post closer to mid-November rather than now, but it looks like Sephora decided to roll their sale out early for Rouge this year. This works perfectly fine for me, since I was worried that the sale was going to be on while we were on vacation mid-November (#priorities).

For those of you who are Rouge members, the 20% off sale is online (code: ROUGEBONUS) and in stores from October 26-29th, and again on November 2nd-5th. The sale goes from November 9-12 for VIB members, who get a 20% discount in stores and online using the code VIBBONUS. For BIs, the sale is 15% off from November 16-19th in stores and online using the code BIBONUS.

Every time the sale rolls around, I always share my wish list. One thing I’m going to try really hard to stay away from this time is eyeshadow palettes. I bought 3 palettes in Japan (they’re all quads, but still), and I haven’t broken any of them out yet, not to mention I still have a lot of eyeshadows at home that I don’t touch often. As much as I want to, I can’t justify buying any more eyeshadows! I did do a big haul in Japan, but I haven’t bought much makeup at home in the last few months, so I feel a little deprived right now. I’m going to try to not go crazy but we’ll see how that goes! 😂

I’ve organized my wish list by things I’ll definitely get (100% purchase), I might purchase (50% purchase) and products that will most likely stay on my wishlist. Without further ado, these are the products I have my eye on!

Herbivore Balance + Clarify Natural Skincare Mini Collection – $62.00

I think this set is fairly new to Sephora as I never saw it during the last Sephora sale. I’ve been wanting to try almost all of the products included in this set, so I think this may be  a pretty good way to do it!

Bite Beauty Amuse Bouche Liquified Lipstick – $28

I bought one of these liquified lipsticks while it was on sale during one of their Weekly Wow sales in August and it is the bomb, so basically now I want all the shades. The formula is not long-wearing, but they feel SO comfortable, apply nicely, and the shades are beautiful. I’m not sure which shades I want yet – I have my eye on Chai, Chicory, and Jicama.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Lip Gloss

Nova from Super Nova Beauty raves about these lip glosses, so I bought the colour Vintage in the last Sephora haul and fell in love with the formula. Now I want to try a bunch more shades! I have my eye on the shades Parfait and Metallic Rose, although there’s a few I want to swatch in stores as well.

Hourglass Ambient Lighting Edit Unlocked Palette – $95

Okay, I’ve bypassed 4 of these palettes during the last four holidays – as pretty as they are, they’re pricey little buggers! I was 99% sure this was an item that was going to stay on my wishlist, but then I went and swatched it in stores last week out of curiosity and it is heckin’ beautiful…and now I want it in my life. They also re-released the Ambient Lighting Edit Volume 4, and I swatched that one as well but I think I like the Unlocked palette more for my own skin tone.

Jouer Cosmetics Blush Bouquet Dual Blush Palette – $38

Jouer is a brand I’ve wanted to try for about 10 years now, and it’s finally easy to get my hands on the brand now that the brand is sold at Sephora. I’m not entirely sure which shade I want in this blush duos; I’m leaning towards Coquette, which comes with a matte and satin blush, but the new Rose Gold duo looks pretty too – I just wish they weren’t both shimmery.

NARS Hot Tryst Cheek Palette – $75

Is it really extra to have 3 blush palettes on your wish list? I think so, but it’s not my fault when they’re so pretty! I think I’m leaning more towards this one than the Hourglass, but I think I need to see it in stores, first. Of course, if I bought this, I would not purchase the Hourglass palette, or vice versa.

Laneige Kiss and Make Up Set – $32

I’ve already talked about how I would love to try the Laneige lip masks and want the limited-edition scents. However, I don’t know if I need 4 lip masks, especially when I’ve never used it and don’t know if I’ll even like it.

Jack Black The Balm Squad – $25

Jack Black makes one of my long-time favourite lip balms, but I vowed not to repurchase their lip balms for a while so that I can try new brands. However, this set comes with limited-edition scents! It’s always the limited-edition scents that get me, ya know? I’m really torn on whether I should buy this or not! Maybe I’ll wait till next year’s set…

Laura Mercier Shadows & Brights Metallic Caviar Stick Eye Set – $50

Does this count as eyeshadow palette? It probably does. I’ve wanted to try these Caviar Sticks for a few years now, but never took the plunge. Considering I said I wouldn’t buy any eyeshadows during this sale, I probably shouldn’t buy it…

Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed Highlighter Mini Macarons Set – $48

Do I need 4 more highlighters, especially when I already own one of the shades (Opal)? Nope. Do I still want this? Yes. I know this is a LE set for the holidays so if I don’t get it now, I won’t have another chance. I do want this, but as cute as this set looks, I think I’m generally okay missing out on it.

Herbivore Hydrate + Glow Natural Skincare Mini Collection – $49

This has been on my wish list since the last Sephora sale, but I don’t want it as much as the Balance + Clarify set, because I already own a full size of the Pink Cloud Rosewater Moisture Crème. I think for now, it’ll stay on my wish list.

Becca Glow Gloss – $27

I’ve gotten into lip glosses in recent months, so I do want to try these Becca Glow Glosses eventually. However, I’m not sure if now is the right time, so this one might stay on my list for a while yet.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Soft Glam Palette – $55

I’ve wanted this ever since it came out, but as I said, I’m not allowing myself to buy any eyeshadow palettes right now. This will also be something that remains on my wish list!

That’s it for my Sephora Wish List! Let me know what you are planning on picking up from the sale!

  1. Like I mentioned to you before, I am totally loving that Hourglass Unlocked palette! I swatched the NARS palette this weekend at IMATS and tbh I wasn’t impressed. I’m not sure why, but it just didn’t speak to me. I’m going to try very hard to not purchase anything during this sale… wish me luck! haha

  2. Pretty! It looks like you’re having a real moment with blushes and lip glosses/liquid lipsticks lol.

The Nars blush palette – the design on the blush reminds me of Benefit Rockateur blush like 100%!

    • I know, it’s weird – I think the cheek products is because I went through my blushes and realized that I don’t have a lot of them!

Oh my gosh, I never even thought about that but you’re totally right, it does look like Benefit Rockateur!!

  3. In the past month, I’ve finally opened up about 6 palettes that I’ve hoarding. 😛 It really opened my eyes to just HOW much I have! I’ve banned myself from eye shadows, blushes, and lipsticks – just nope! I need to declutter more before I can buy anything.

The only thing I picked up during the sale is a Consonant skincare set that contains the HydrExtreme serum that I love for under my eyes. It’s so pricy at $150 for 30ml but a bottle lasts ages – so it helps to get 20% off. I’m also so happy that we’re getting more Canadian brands on Sephora now!
That’s not to say that I wasn’t tempted by a LOT of stuff when I was on the site… I wanted:
    – Armani Luminous Silk Foundation – I got a sample of this and I LOVE the finish of it! I’ll be getting it one of these days…
    – Guerlain Meteorites Le Parfum – I just recently learned they launched this perfume in the summer; it’s supposed to smell just like the Meteorites pearls. I was THIS close to buying it without testing it but I really should try it on my skin first
    – Nars Hardwired eyeshadow singles – the swatches look so pretty!
    – First Aid Beauty Hello FAB Bendy Avocado concealer – I blame Samantha Ravndahl for this one
    – Jouer Jet Set lip set – I just realized Jouer is on Sephora Canada now. I’ve been wanting to try something from this brand for ages.
    – Hourglass Vanish Seamless FInish Foundation Stick – I keep wanting a stick foundation with the excuse that I “need” it for travelling… right? 😉

I already saw on IG that you got the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Edit Unlocked Palette and the Bite Beauty Amuse Bouche Liquified Lipstick. 😉 Did you pick up anything else?

    • I feel you, that’s why I started doing a project pan – so I feel less bad about hoarding makeup when I’m actually able to go through them, haha.

Oooh, I SO want to try that Consonant HydrExtreme serum! Is it really that much better than a regular Hyaluronic Acid? And oh gosh, the Armani foundation is on my list too. I also got a sample of it and love how lightweight it is! Everything from Jouer looks spectacular. Us Canadians have been deprived for so long!

I picked up way more than I should have! I ordered the Herbivore set which was a 100% purchase on my list, as well as the Laneige lip mask set. And then after purchasing the Unlocked Palette, I realized I was $131 away from Rouge status so I bought more stuff to reach it (what is wrong with me??) Luckily a friend saved me because she needed to buy two things which made up most of the $131, but I ended up getting the ABH Soft Glam palette which I said I would NOT buy. Sigh.

Also, on Sunday night I dreamt that you came out of blogging retirement to do an emergency review of something. I can’t remember what it was, or maybe my dream didn’t go into that much detail, but there you go. So random LOL!

      • Yes, in my experience, the Consonant HydrExtreme serum provides longer lasting hydration than hyaluronic acid. It makes my under eye area look so smooth and plump! I only use it for my under eye area.
Haha, I was $115 away from Rouge and reached it with this latest order too. 😛 My goal for 2019 is NOT to hit Rouge. I hope!

LMAO your dream!!! 😆 I wonder what beauty product would warrant an emergency review! 😆 So hilarious and yes, totally random!

        • Very interesting and good to know! I think I have a sample packet of this, so I’ll try it on my eyes.

One of my goals for 2018 was to not hit Rouge…whoops. I think you buy a lot more on behalf of other people than me, too!

LOL I really wish I remembered which product you talked about!

  4. Love your list! I was eyeing up that first Herbivore set too but I’m probably going to pass on it, as much as I love the Blue Tansy mask.
You’re really making me want to pick up one of those Bite Beauty Liquid Lips even though I really don’t feel like I need any new lip products.
