Sephora Sale Wish List

Hello, everyone! I think it’s safe to say that we’ve all been eagerly anticipating the upcoming Sephora sale, especially as it came later than usual this year. Today I’m sharing what’s on my wishlist with you guys!

Here are the sale details:
VIB Rouge: 20% off from April 26th – May 6th
VIB: 15% off May 2nd – May 6th
BI: 10% off May 2nd – May 6th

I believe Sephora was originally planning on giving Rouge members a 15% discount, which enraged a lot of Rouge members. A lot of people said that Sephora had decreased the sale percentage, and that Rouge members should a bigger discount than VIBs. In Sephora’s defense, their spring sale has actually always been at 15% for Rouge members (their November sale is 20%) so they didn’t actually decrease the amount, but I do agree that Rouge members should be getting a higher discount. It only makes sense that the more you spend, the more perks you should get, and having the sale start a week earlier isn’t really a great perk. Luckily, Sephora listened to all the feedback, and changed the Rouge discount to 20%.

Usually when the sale rolls around, there’s nothing that I really want, but right now I have what feels like 747298 items in my cart and I’m hoping to take the majority out because nobody really needs to be spending their entire paycheque at Sephora. I’ve somehow used up a bunch of products at the same time, and I can’t decide if it’s a good thing or not. On the bright side, I can take advantage of the sale to restock some products, but at the same time, I hate it when I have a huge outflow of money at once, especially when it comes to frivolous things like makeup! Plus, running out of “necessities” (ie skincare) means that I have less to spend on fun things (ie makeup!)

As usual, I’ve organized my list based on how likely I am to buy it during the sale.

Farmacy Green Clean Meltaway Cleansing Balm – $44

This is a restock for me. I ran out of the Farmacy cleansing balm in March, and have been needing a replacement makeup remover since (I’ve been using samples to tide me over until the sale). I’ve been toy with the idea of trying the Clinique Take the Day Off Cleansing Balm, which has been on my wishlist forever, but I really, really enjoyed this one and have decided to pick it up again.

Farmacy Honey Drop Lightweight Moisturizer with Echinacea GreenEnvy – $58

This is another restock, kind of – I am in need of a new moisturizer, as I have officially run out of my Herbivore Pink Cloud Rosewater Moisture Crème. While I liked the Herbivore moisturizer, I kind of want to try something new, and have been looking into this Farmacy moisturizer as a replacement. I’m a little unsure of this one because it might be too lightweight for my skin, even in the summer. However, I’ve tried three products from Farmacy and they’ve all been winners, so I have high hopes for this one.

Ouai Leave-In Conditioner – $32

This is the third and final restock on my list, although like the Farmacy moisturizer, I’m restocking the product category (leave-in conditioner) and not the product itself. I ran out of my Bumble & Bumble Leave-In Conditioner just last week, and while I love it, I’ve repurchased it three times and want to try something new this time around. This one seems to have pretty good reviews online, and I love the scent of Ouai products, so I want to give it a shot.

Youth to the People Superberry Hydrate & Glow Dream Mask – $59

This is an “Instagram made me buy it” product. I’ve been on the hunt for a hydrating mask, which is something I’ve been lacking in my skincare routine in the last few months. I dipped my fingers in the stores and it seemed really hydrating and smells absolutely lovely. I actually don’t own any hydrating masks at the moment, so I feel like I can justify buying this.

Jouer Cosmetics Powder Highlighter in Rose Gold – $30

I think this might be a dupe for the Becca x Sananas Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed in Parisian Lights, which I own and love but I don’t want to use it to the point where the pattern will fade away. Is it weird that I want to keep the Becca highlighter just to look at it? Maybe, but I love French-themed things and COME ON, it has the freaking Eiffel Tower on it. However, I am completely in love with the peachy-gold shade and the Jouer highlighter seems to be a dupe for the Becca, so I’ve decided to bite the bullet and buy this one to actually use.

Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Eye Cream – $49

This one is actually for my husband. A couple of weeks ago, he informed me that he is running out of eye cream (he’s been milking a sample of the Caudalie eye cream for months, haha) and asked me if I could get him more – not necessarily the same one, just one that he could use. I’m not very well-versed in the eye cream area because I always go back to the same ones over and over again, so I thought I would buy him something that I know is a solid performer but isn’t overly bougie.

Farmacy Clean Bee Ultra Gentle Facial Cleanser – $37

I’m currently using the Shiseido Benefiance Extra Creamy Foaming Cleanser, and I can’t decide if I should stock up on a backup cleanser in case I run out between now and the November sale, or if I can push this purchase off until November. Farmacy seems to feature heavily in my wish list this time around because I’ve loved every Farmacy product I’ve used so far, but I’m a little iffy on gel cleansers in general.

Nudestix Nudies Blush n’ Glow Duo – $49

I’ve heard a lot about Nudestix in the last two years, and I’ve been especially curious about this brand because they are Canadian. Dal shared her two sets of Nudestix pencils which I fell in love with, but unfortunately they’re only available on the brand’s website and not on Sephora. However, while I was on the website, I noticed that they have this blush and highlighter set. Mariah Leonard raves about these two products and I always love how fresh and dewy her makeup is, so I want to give this a try. This would have been a 100% purchase if I didn’t have so many restocks this time.

Jouer Cosmetics Blush Bouquet Dual Blush Palette in Adore – $38

I’m on the fence when it comes to buying this one. I have a lack of nude blushes in my collection – I have a million bright shades and a few medium pinks, but can only think of ONE nude that I own. I’ve had this Jouer blush duo on my wish list for a long time, but they’re not available in stores here for me to swatch, and I’m not sure if this particular duo will be too light for my skin tone. I’ve been debating on whether to buy it or stick it out with my one neutral blush.

YSL Touche Eclat Le Teint Radiance Awakening Foundation – $68

This was actually in my 100% Purchase section until I recently purchased the Urban Decay Naked Skin foundation during the Weekly Wow sale. I tried a sample of this last year when I was testing out a bunch of foundations I was contemplating on buying, and while I ended up with the Too Faced Born This Way foundation, I was always going to go back and try this one. Even though I now have the UD foundation, I’m still thinking of getting this in a deeper tone for the summer, but I won’t know what my summer shade is until I get a little more tanned, haha.

Kora Organics Noni Radiant Eye Oil – $48

An eye oil?! My eye area feels moisturized just thinking about this. Someone on Instagram said they love this product when I asked everyone what their favourite eye cream is. However, this little jar is TINY in person, so it’s actually pretty expensive for what you get. I also don’t really need it at this time – maybe it’ll be a November purchase.

Herbivore Botanicals Coco Rose Coconut Oil Body Polish – $45

The only reason I want this is because it smells absolutely amazing. I use body scrubs regularly, but $45 is a bit ridiculous for what is essentially sugar and oil. I can see myself repurposing that pretty jar, but this is probably going to stay in my “most likely will not buy” section.

Laneige Lip Glowy Balm – $18

Do I want one of each scent? Yep. Do I already own way too many lip balms and have no business buying more? Also yep. I’m currently have 3 lip balms and one lip mask open…I really shouldn’t be buying more lip balms.

Hourglass Illume Sheer Color Trio – $75

Samantha Ravndahl raves about this face trio, and man, does this look pretty. It’s constantly sold out on the Sephora website (do they even ever restock it?) and is not available in stores, at least not in Calgary. Honestly, if this ever comes back in stock, I might just snatch it up before it sells out again.

What are you picking up during the sale? Let me know your picks or any recommendations you may have!

    • I can see why you love Farmacy, everything I’ve tried from them thus far has been gold! Thanks for letting me know your thoughts on the Ouai leave-in conditioner, it’s comforting to hear straight from someone that they like it!

  1. I swatched that Jouer highlighter at Sephora the other day and it is STUNNING! They make a mini of it too (in a set with 2 mini lip products for $25 US). I *almost* got it because of my rose gold obsession, but I wasn’t crazy about the lip products, so I put it down & got a Pat McGrath mini lipgloss set instead. But part of me still wants that highlighter. I might end up caving on that mini set during the sale. I also need a new eye cream (got samples of a few to try).

  2. Such a great list! I wish we had a Sephora in the UK 😭 I haven’t tried anything from Farmacy yet but I’ve heard such great reviews about it. That Hourglass palette looks gorgeous x

  3. I’m thinking that I won’t make Rouge this year which is my goal. After being Rouge for a few years I’ve realized the benefits are not worth it.

I hope you’ll like that Farmacy Honey Drop moisturizer – if nothing else, that packaging is so awesome!

And I hope your SO will like the Kiehl’s eye cream. The packaging is quite unisex so I think it’s a good pick. 😉 I cannot convince mine to stick with a skincare routine for longer than a week at a time…

Ooh do tell about that YSL Touche Eclat foundation. I might have a sample of that somewhere in my stash. For some reason I’ve amassed a lot of foundation samples. And serum samples – I swear I have like 50 packs of serum samples. 😆

I just watched Mariah Leonard’s 10 Hidden Gem at Sephora and now I want to try the Sephora 10hr Wear Foundation! It’s only $25 too. 😮

    • I agree that the benefits are not worth it. I do like getting free shipping with no minimum, and I’ve noticed that a lot of things sell out during the sales before the the VIB and BI members even get to shop, so it’s nice to be able to shop the sales early…but ultimately these perks aren’t even close to worth the extra $650 we spend every year!!

I’ve been trying the Honey Drop moisturizer the last few days and I don’t like it so far, it’s not hydrating enough. Actually, I had originally changed my mind about buying this moisturizer after getting some advice on InstagramI wa. s going to buy the Belif Moisturizing Bomb instead (I remember you like this one too!), but it was sold out online by 7am on the first day of the sale and isn’t available in stores here! So I ended up picking this one up…

I agree, if it’s even remotely feminine, he won’t use it LOL, so the Kiehl’s is a good choice. Men in general just don’t seem to enjoy having and sticking to a skincare routine!

Foundation samples are so hard because they most likely don’t match your skin tone! I asked for a sample of the YSL Touche Eclat foundation last year and from what I remember, it was a more watery consistency, like the UD Naked Skin. I know in my other post you said you want to try the Armani Luminous Silk foundation, and I want to try that one eventually as well, after the YSL…so maybe 2021, haha!

Ooh I haven’t watched her latest video yet, but a $25 foundation at Sephora? Yes, please!
