Products I Regret Not Buying

Hi friends! A while back, I talked about some of the products that I regret buying. Today,  I wanted to share all the makeup products I regret not buying. These items were either limited edition or discontinued, so I can no longer get them anymore. It’s kinda funny because when these were available, I felt like I wasn’t really interested in them – but now that they’re gone, I want these?! Anyways, read on to see what products I am missing in my collection!

Anastasia Beverly Hills x Amrezy Highlighter

This highlighter never really appealed to me when it was first released, because I felt like I already owned a lot of champagne highlighters. Even when it was re-released again, I didn’t have much of an interest in it at all. Once it was gone forever, however, I suddenly wanted it. I definitely would have snatched it up if ABH re-released this with the Amrezy palette at the end of 2019 (or was it at the beginning of this year?), but unfortunately, they did not re-release it with the palette. I feel like that was a missed opportunity!

 

ColourPop x Kathleen Lights Dream Street Palette

I have zero interest in this palette when it was available, because I felt like this was just a neutral palette with random pops of blue, which I wouldn’t reach for anyways. But now that it’s gone…I want it? So many people rave about how this is one of their favourite ColourPop palettes, and I kind of want to know what the fuss is about! Also, I’ve loved a lot of products that Kathleen Lights has released with ColourPop, so I have no doubts that the quality of this palette must be amazing.

 

Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector Lightchaser Pressed Highlighters

Becca released these Lightchaser highlighters in their pressed format, which are different to their regular highlighters as these had duochrome finishes. I found a blog called Potpourri of Whatever that has swatches of them all! I realized these were being discontinued when I saw them on sale, but I was too late as they disappeared too quickly for me to pick any up. There were a handful of shades that looked appealing to me. They also had corresponding Glow Gloss shades, which have also been discontinued. At the time, I hadn’t tried their Glow Gloss formula, but knowing what I know now (which is that I love them), I kind of wish I picked up every single shade of those!

 

Marc Jacobs Beauty See-quins Glitter Eyeshadow Swatches

I believe Marc Jacobs first released these during Holidays 2018, but I didn’t realize until after that they were limited edition. These are stunning, pigmented pots of glitter that I really wish I had in my life. I believe they did release a few more during the Holidays 2019 season, but they were all dark, smokey shades I wouldn’t get much use out of. Bring the wearable shades back, Marc Jacobs! My wallet and I will be there!

Hourglass Illume Sheer Trio

I saw so many people raving about this trio since 2018, but it was always constantly sold out everywhere that sold Hourglass. I don’t think Hourglass ever outright said this was limited edition, but I’ve never seen it available, which makes me convinced this was either limited-edition or discontinued (they have since taken this product off all websites). The way that Sam Ravndahl describes these just make them sound sooo creamy and glowy, and I’m crying that I couldn’t get my hands on this. Hourglass – bring, this back, pleeeease?

 

Illamasqua Nail Varnish

Illamasqua is a brand that some people may not even have heard of – they actually used to be sold at Sephora once upon a time! These days, i’s a tough brand to get your hands on in North America in general, as they pulled out of the continent maybe six or so years ago, but I think the brand actually discontinued their nail polishes since. There were a bunch of unique shades I wanted to try, including Raindrops, Melange, and Facet. I should have snagged these up while I still could, but now there’s no chance I’ll be able to get them!
