Every fall, us beauty lovers eagerly look forward to all of the holiday releases being announced and deciding which items to put on our wish lists for the holiday sales and for Christmas. This year, I’ve noticed that there’s more I’m not interested in than ones that I am. Hence, today I’m talking about all of the holiday releases I don’t plan on buying. My list is not extensive – there are a whole lot more holiday products that I will not be buying, but I didn’t want my blog post to be a one-hour read. While I was researching, I realized all of the brands/collections I have listed have at least one eyeshadow palette in the collection, which may be why I don’t want any of these. I feel like I’m drowning in the eyeshadows I already own and don’t want any more!
Please don’t be offended if you want to buy (or already own) any of these products – I feel like these are really popular products right now, and they are popular for a reason!
Hello, everyone! Today I wanted to do my first anti-haul post of the year – I’ve decided I’m going to try and do this once a quarter this year. I’m in a “not-really-into-makeup” phase right now, and for the most part, none of the new releases have caught my eye. If any of these interest you, that is awesome because it just shows the diversity in our community, so please don’t take offense that I’ve included them in my anti-haul.
They discontinued the original Naked Palette for this?? That was a classic, so whatever replaced it needed to have been epic…and what a disappointment this is. Not only does it look like exactly like the Anastasia Beverly Hills Sultry palette, but it’s just boring in general. Hard pass.
While everyone in the US is busy shopping the Ulta 21 Days of Beauty sale (of which I’m insanely jealous about), I’ve decided to do an anti-haul to make myself feel better by thinking of all the stuff on the market that I’m not interested in. Read on to find out what I won’t be picking up this spring!
Benefit BADgal BANG! Volumizing Mascara
I’m usually not interested in high end mascaras because I feel like drugstore mascaras get the job done just as well as any expensive mascara. On top of that, the recent PR trip for the release of this product was so over the top, and I think I’m a little salty about it because it had a hand in turning me off of this product, haha.
At the beginning of 2017, I set March to be a no-buy month for me. I thought this would be really hard after doing a no-buy in February, but we’ve been too busy for me to even worry about shopping for makeup, so it hasn’t really been an issue! Although it’s not quite the end of the month, I’m 100% sure I’m not going to buy anything in the last three days, which means I was able to stay true to my no-buy! *throws confetti* Since the lack of purchases makes my March no-buy post pretty much non-existent, I thought today I would stick with the theme of not buying anything and do an Anti-Haul post. The idea of the anti-haul is sharing popular beauty products that I will NOT be buying! This does not mean that any of these products are bad or poor-performing at all – they just don’t interest me enough to purchase.
Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed in Prismatic Amethyst – $46
This one might be a little controversial because of all the hype surrounding this. I really love the quality of Becca highlighters, and this one actually looks gorgeous. However, I’m not sure I’m into the lavender highlighter trend as of late. It would be a stunning shade for people with fair, cool-toned skin, but this would look so off on me!
