Today’s post is on all of the items I used up from October to December, as well as a summary of my empties for the year. I was shocked at how few products I used up in the last last three months of the year, even compared to the usual small amount I tend to finish on a quarterly basis! I think it was because I was busy trying out so much new stuff, particularly in November and December, that I didn’t really end up using much 😛 I’ve been continuing to try using up my Shiseido samples, so you’ll see a lot of those in this post. My Q4 empties is pretty BORING, but I think my 2016 empties summary may be a little more interesting.
The Body Shop Satsuma Shower Gel and Grapefruit Body Butter
There’s not much to say about this except that as always, the Body Shop shower gels and body butters are constants in my empties. Satsuma and Grapefruit are two of my favourite scents from The Body Shop, too, so I will definitely pick up more of these as my collection of body care goes down (maybe in 2020).
Today I’m sharing the products I finished up in the last three months. It’s been kind of interesting keeping all of my empties so see how much I’ve used in a three-month span. I’m always surprised at how little I get through! I have no idea why, but it seemed like I was particularly slow at using up products these last three months, for some odd reason.
Today’s post is a summary of my purchases in June. I went way over my low-buy budget on my makeup spending in May, so really, I should have made up for it by not spending anything this month. However, seeing that my allowance from June-October is only $10/month, it wouldn’t have made much of a dent in making up for my overspending anyways! With that being said, I really didn’t buy much for myself this month in terms of makeup.
I go through products ridiculously slowly, so I thought that instead of doing an Empties post each month, I would do one every three months instead, for a total of four empties posts for 2016. These are the products that I finished off from January to March – there were a total of 8 full-sized products and 6 samples.
Bah, I abandoned my blog last week, but I am armed with a legitimate and (what I think is) a reasonable excuse: I worked 70 hours last week, from Monday to Sunday. I am not really thinking straight, and I hope this week is going to be better but it’s not looking promising
ANYWAYS, I wanted to get this blog post up. After hearing rave reviews online, I bought the Body Shop Camomile Cleansing Oil a few months ago in hopes that it could replace my longtime and very expensive love, the MAC Cleanse Off Oil.
The Caamomile Cleansing Oil costs $16 for 200 mL and the MAC Cleanse Off Oil costs $38 for 150 mL. This is $0.08/mL for the Body Shop oil, as compared to the $0.25/mL for the MAC oil – obviously, the Camomile Cleansing Oil is much less expensive!
Today I wanted to talk about my favourites for the month of September. I’ve had less time than usual to get ready in the morning lately, so a lot of the products I used this month were items that made my makeup routine fast and easy.
