Today’s post is a haul/check-in of my 2016 low-buy. Originally, I had intended to post my Sephora haul last week, which did not end up happening. Since it’s now the end of the month, so I thought I might as well just lump my Sephora haul with the rest of my purchases and do my monthly low buy check-in post. I’ve gotten the chance to test out most of these products, so this post does include a brief first impressions of each product.
The weather this weekend was the nicest it’s been this whole year. It was 22 degrees Celsius, so it was basically summer weather! It made me think that it was high time to put away my winter scents and dig out my spring/summer fragrances instead. Today, I thought I would share with you one of my top favourites for the spring.
When Marc Jacobs Honey first came out in 2013, I sampled it in stores and fell in love with the scent. My fiance bought the Honey set for me for our anniversary two years ago, which contains 50 ml of the perfume, 75 ml Fresh Shower Gel, and 75 ml Radiant Body Lotion. Marc Jacobs Daisy is a much-loved fragrance in the blogging world and probably their most popular scent, but I find that Daisy and all the variations of the Daisy perfume are a little too floral for my preference. I typically prefer something between fruity and floral, and Honey hits pretty close to that mark.
Today I wanted to share with you my thoughts on the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Palette. This palette retails for $70 CAD, and contains 0.116 oz for each powder. I bought this in November during the VIB sale and have been thoroughly enjoying it. Each of the powders in the palette does a little something different, which I prefer over having three different shades of highlighters. I think of Hourglass as more luxury brand, so I only use this palette on weekends and special occasions and not just for everyday use for work.
With the Sephora sale coming up this week, I thought I would share my wish list. Surprisingly, there aren’t a lot of things I want this time. Although I won’t be getting every single item in this list, I will definitely be picking from it!
